Video works
These video/audio works explore the intricate relationships between the body, the environment, and the pressing ecological challenges of our time. Using the body as material through Butoh practices, I explore these themes in an ecological, post-human context, that is rooted in personal experience and embodied response to place and play. I aim to create art that challenges viewers to reconsider their relationship with the world and their place within it, inspiring a deeper understanding of the interconnected systems that shape our existence. However, I am more deeply concerned with generating an embodied experience for the viewer and their affective response to the work than with conveying an intellectual understanding. As such, my work is often highly abstract, visceral, and symbolic.
